Brown, 30, appeared in 127 games with 107 starts in eight seasons with the Bears after arriving in 2002 as a fourth-round draft pick from Florida. The 6-3, 260-pounder ranks fourth in franchise history with 43½ sacks, trailing only Richard Dent, Steve McMichael and Dan Hampton.

Brown played in 127 consecutive games dating back to the second game of his rookie season in 2002, the second longest active streak by a defensive lineman in the NFL.
He recorded 483 tackles, 55 tackles-for-loss, five interceptions, 16 forced fumbles, 11 fumble recoveries and three blocked kicks. Brown was named a first alternate to the Pro Bowl in 2006 and a second alternate in 2007.
Last season, Brown registered 39 tackles, six sacks, two pass breakups, one fumble recovery and five tackles-for-loss while starting all 16 games.
